Print-ready PDF
For print and large-format prints, it’s best to submit your files as print-ready PDFs with the following settings:
- Raster images at approximately 300 dpi;
- Line images at approximately 1200 dpi;
- Center pages;
- Bleed: 3 mm;
- Distance from the cut lines to the image should be at least 2.5 mm;
- Embed fonts;
- Only enable crop marks, disable others;
- For print materials, use CMYK, PMS colors, or Greyscale;
- For printing, use CMYK or RGB, no PMS colors.
- Download our PDF joboptions here.

Open file
If you are unable to create a PDF, you can submit an open file in InDesign.
- Include the fonts used;
- Include all placed illustrations;
- Set up the file in CMYK.

Other programs
You can of course create your print materials in other programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Word. However, because these programs often cannot create a print-ready PDF, you need to consider additional costs for print preparation. We charge 20 euros per fifteen minutes for this. The same price applies for any adjustments to your file that we make upon your request. If you provide an Illustrator file (*.ai, *.eps, *.pdf), it’s advisable to convert the text to outlines (curves, outlines).
Other programs
Only in consultation.
Color
RGB colors are converted to CMYK. This may cause color discrepancies. Therefore, it is advisable to use CMYK as a standard. For print services or large-format prints, you may submit RGB files.

File Size
Be sure not to submit unnecessarily large files, as this can cause errors. Imported images should be at 100% and 300 DPI (if applicable). Do not send unnecessary files or folders.
General
Scale: Files should be set up 1:1 (at actual size).
Resolution: Use a resolution of 300 dpi for photos and images. Increasing the resolution is unnecessary; these files will become extremely large without improving the quality of the print.

Imposition and paper size
Set up a file in the final size. Do not place multiple cards on one sheet in advance. Our equipment automatically combines multiple files on one sheet (at no extra cost). The net print size for our print service is 32 x 45 cm. You need to consider that the outer 3 mm of this area is non-printable, and the crop marks must fall within that margin.

Bleed
Bleed is required for clean trimming of your print materials. If you don’t account for bleed within a file, we cannot guarantee your order will be trimmed neatly. To ensure proper trimming, we need a document with 3 mm bleed.
Incomplete Files
If files cannot be submitted in a print-ready format, we will work with you to find a solution.
Submission specifications for personalized printing
To ensure fast and smooth processing of your address files, it’s important to be aware of the following specifications for submitting address files for personalized printing.
File format
We prefer an Excel file that uses different columns. In the first row of the Excel file, name the columns, such as: Institution, department, salutation, initials, prefix, last name, etc. The data you want to use can then be entered in the following rows. If you are using multiple address files or tabs in one file, please use the same column order. Foreign addresses should be listed in a separate tab so they can be directly selected during the mailing process.
Below is an example.
Instructions
To ensure we handle the correct columns in the right order, please clearly indicate the columns to be used for addressing.
As per the example below:

Kolom A)
Kolom B)
Kolom C,D,E,F,G) attn.*
It is preferred that these fields are placed in separate columns.
Kolom H)
Kolom I)
Kolom J)
* The text “attn.” does not need to be included in the columns, as it can be automatically placed on the line.
Important: Always password-protect address files before sending them. You can provide the password to us separately.

Response Mailing
If your mailing includes response information to process the replies, it is customary to create separate columns in the Excel file for this. This could include: Rayon codes, Industry codes, account manager codes, a different address, etc.
We advise against including full address information on your response mailing, as this could lead to confusion during postal delivery.
