Improved speed and visibility with a new WordPress website

Centre for Safety and Development (CSD) advises and trains organisations and travellers, helping them work and travel abroad safely. The focus is on working safely, travelling safely and returning home safely.

We have been working with CSD for some time and take care of the hosting and management of the WordPress website. The design of marketing materials, such as Quick Reference Cards, certificates and trade fair stand materials, is created by our design studio.

When CSD indicated that they wanted to take steps in SEO and performance, we started the process for a new website. First, we implemented a number of quick wins to improve performance. After that, the account manager and project manager visited the location to map out all wishes and requirements for the new website. We then started working with a dedicated project team.

CSD wanted a fresher look that radiates trust and accessibility. Training sessions often feel positive and approachable, so the new design needed to remain safe and friendly. Not too dark. Return home safely was given a place in the logo and brand story. Transparency was central, with clear explanations of training courses and advice. We made it immediately clear what CSD does.

After approval of the design, we built the website mobile first. We applied modern image formats, such as AVIF, for smaller file sizes and faster loading times. After extensive testing, CMS training followed, enabling CSD to add and manage pages independently.

The result: a faster website with a strong technical foundation and better visibility. A fresh new look with a clear structure and navigation. Clearly recognisable, even for visitors who do not yet know CSD.
